Stand Up and Be Counted!
Our city has gone from bad to worse. In next five years our public transportation will completely collapse, our water supply will decrease sharply and for the first time our city will experience frequent power outages.
Our mission:
To bring Transparency and Accountability in Governance by bringing good people, of high integrity with innovative thinking, into the system.
To provide a Strong Platform to achieve the above.
Why?
For many years we have been mute spectators to the rapidly decaying condition of our city. Corruption is increasing, there is no accountability, public money is wasted, public spaces are going away, and the list of problems is endless. The interests of the City and its people have always been compromised. To bring about any change in the system, we must have people willing to and capable of transforming it, in parliament, assemblies and in civic bodies. So we believe that it is time to stop blaming and Start taking Charge.
Why Now?
All the present political parties have been given enough chance to create this infrastructure and-have failed miserably over and over again. They appear to be promising the same things as the citizens are demanding. But they are failing to achieve the desired results. Since our existing political systems have failed us, we have to look for a viable alternative.
This platform is a call to citizens from all walks of life, to engage in this movement to bring about systemic change.
We must introspect and answer
If not now, when?
If not I, who?
We have to be change makers and lead this great movement.
Here a Corporator can work fearlessly for his constituents and the metropolis at large. On the Mumbai 227 platform, elected candidates will come together on the basis of the merits of the issue.
